Season 2 (2018)

SBB2 is the upcoming second season of the Tengaged group game SBB. The series is hosted by user Sethhhh. Set to launch in 2018, the second season had been placed on hold for a long period due to the host's hiatus from the site. Initial plans for the season featured season one winner Rose as a co-host, and had twelve housemates competing for the prize. Much like the premiere season, SBB2 was set to focus primarily on the basic mechanics of the game as opposed to relying on twists. Though casting for this season began in 2017, these plans were scrapped before the launch date. Feeling inspired upon his return to the site in 2018, Seth resumed work on the series. It is set to premiere in June, and will feature fourteen housemates competing to win. Unlike the prior plans for the season, a twist will be implemented into the game to promote competitiveness among the group.

Production[edit | edit source]

Plans for a second season of SBB began ten months following the premiere. While the inaugural season was running, a spin-off series known as SBB: Danger Zone was in the works as Seth's next project. The series was scrapped in favor of a second season due to a lack of Big Brother based group games on the site at the time. Original plans for the second season saw an increase in the number of secret missions and tasks given to the housemates, with bigger rewards and punishments. The rules for the series were also revised, with punishments being given to inactive or rule-breaking housemates up to ejection from the game. Much like with his prior hosting experiences, Seth attempted to convert competitions taken from the televised show into a Tengaged format, which he felt made the games fun fans of the show. It was confirmed on February 15 that the winner of season one, Rose, would be the show's co-host; these plans were scrapped during the final revamp of the season. She remains the only housemate from a prior season to return to the show in some manner.

The original plans for the series saw a wonderland theme implemented into the game. The season's advertisements, logos, and overall aesthetic were inspired by the classic novel Alice in Wonderland (1951), with the original logo featuring an eye over several keyholes. Tengaged featured an ad for the series beginning on February 15, the same day casting began, featuring the wonderland theme as well. Seth spent 70 T$ on the advertisement, which remained on the page for twenty-four hours. The advertisement linked those who clicked on it to the main page for applications. To further promote the game, Rose launched a viewer's lounge for those not in the game to take part in. Though the theme was scrapped during the show's revamp, a new theme was implemented into the series based on Seth's liking of the original idea.

Casting process[edit | edit source]

Casting for the series entered the early stages on February 14, with the process officially launching the following day. The cast is to be comprised entirely of new housemates. Rose will help select the cast of the season, along with former housemate Tom (solesurvivor11), who placed second in the first season. Seth decided early on that the cast for the season needed to be able to work off of one another, as he believed the cast of the first season did not interact as much as he had hoped. While interviewing housemates, Seth hoped to learn how they would interact with those around them; in comparison, the cast of the previous season had been selected based solely on the personalities of each individual. The casting process is divided up into three portions for this season. The first round deals with basic topics about the applicants time on Tengaged and their knowledge of the game. Those that move onto the second round will be asked more personal questions, in an attempt to find personalities that will either become friends or rivals. The third and final round requires the selected housemates to agree to the rules and regulations to the series; failure to abide by them will result in ejection from the game. Seth confirmed at the start of casting that he was looking for eleven housemates to enter the game.

Housemates[edit | edit source]

The eleven housemates will be announced the day of the series premiere.
